What are the documents needed to take BPKB?
1. If collected by the Customer in person
a) Individual Customer
b) Corporate Customer
2. If collected by an authorized representative (proxy)
a) Individual Customer
- The original Power of Attorney from the Customer, affixed with a IDR 10,000 duty stamp (meterai), signed by the Customer as the Grantor and by the Proxy as the Grantee.
- The Power of Attorney must state:
- The valid original KTP (national ID card)/KITAS (limited stay permit)/Passport of both the Customer and the Grantee, which must be presented at the time of BPKB (vehicle ownership book) collection.
- A photo of the Customer holding their identity document and the Power of Attorney, with both clearly visible.
- For a Power of Attorney executed abroad, legalization/apostille is mandatory by the Ministry of Justice and/or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the relevant country, as well as the Representative Office of the Republic of Indonesia in that country.
b) Corporate Customer
- The original Power of Attorney, written on the Company's letterhead, affixed with a IDR 10,000 duty stamp and the company stamp.
- The Power of Attorney must state the name and NIK (national identification number) of the Grantor authorized to represent the Company, the name and NIK of the Grantee, vehicle details, contract number, and a statement granting authority to collect and receive the asset documents along with their accompanying items.
- The valid original KTP/KITAS/Passport of both the Grantor and the Grantee.
- Documents showing the Grantor's authority to represent the Company in accordance with the Articles of Association.
- If the term of office of the authorized official has expired, a Deed of Amendment to the Articles of Association regarding the change/appointment of the Board of Director
3. If the Debtor passes away
a) The asset documents may be collected by the Debtor's Heir by providing the following:
- A photocopy of the Death Certificate issued by the Hospital, the Village/Sub-district Office (Kelurahan), and/or the Civil Registry Office (Dukcapil), and presenting the original document at the time of collection.
- A Certificate of Inheritance, in the form of one of the following documents:
- The valid original KTP (national ID card) of the Heir.
- Proof of the last payment/proof of full settlement.
b) If the Heir does not yet have a KTP or is underage, and both parents have passed away:
- The Death Certificates of the parents;
- The name of the party representing the Heir must be stated in the Certificate of Inheritance as the Heir's Guardian; and
- A Guardianship Order from the District Court or the Religious Court (if the Heir is Muslim).
If there is more than one Heir, all Heirs must give their consent. If the collection is made by one of the Heirs, it must be accompanied by a Letter of Consent and a Power of Attorney from the other Heirs, signed by all of the Heirs.
How much is the fee for collecting the BPKB asset document?
Are there any fees, what type of fees, and when are they charged?
Yes. A BPKB Storage Fee of IDR 100,000 per year is charged if the BPKB has not been collected more than 3 (three) months after the date of full settlement or the final installment payment.

Please note that the final installment payment cannot be made through Mitra Channel Payment (MCP) and must be made at a Branch Office.
